IND vs AUS: PM Narendra Modi and other Political Leaders Wish Team India ahead of ODI World Cup Final

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the Indian cricket team ahead of their World Cup final against Australia, expressing his support for the team on his official Twitter account. He emphasized the backing of 1.4 billion Indians and encouraged skipper Rohit Sharma and the team to play with competitive spirit while upholding sportsmanship.

In his Twitter message, PM Modi wrote, “All the best Team India! 140 crore Indians are cheering for you. May you shine bright, play well and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship.”

India secured their spot in the finals after a convincing 70-run victory over New Zealand. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer’s centuries, supported by a strong start from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, set India on course for a formidable target of 397/4. Mohammed Shami’s crucial breakthroughs ensured India’s passage to the final.

In the other semi-final, South Africa posed a challenge for Australia with a modest target. However, Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins and speedster Mitchell Starc guided their team to a hard-fought three-wicket win.

Political leaders’ supportive messages for Team India

Sonia Gandhi, a senior Congress leader, conveyed her warmest wishes to the Indian cricket team through a video message, praising their consistent performances and urging them to claim the championship.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed solidarity with the team, encouraging them to maintain their winning streak and make history in the final.

Tejasvi Surya, the BJP Yuva Morcha National President, exuded confidence in India’s victory in the World Cup final, echoing the enthusiasm of the country’s youth for an anticipated spectacular win.
